The Dimension - Prologue
Introduction
Ingrid’s Story
Note: Side story for The Hunt
It’s a simple question. How can we survive? It’s a question that I have been posing for centuries. My kind have been hiding in the dark for so long that it’s amazing that we’ve only faded from reality. Or at least that’s what people think. How they were okay with just forgetting us and just brushing off the random death was more than I could understand. It was so strange. I had been there for so long that I felt that I deserved recognition, but because of what I am I was hunted.
My name is Ingrid. I’ve been roaming t

A Family, Finally...

Tom:
I was woken in the middle of the night by a strange feeling. It wasn't a sound, but a presence. There was something in the room and I knew that no matter what it was that I wasn't going to be able to protect Ava. It was strange that that was the first thing that went through my head. I wasn't worried about myself, but Ava.
I sat up slowly and looked towards the doorway to see Hades standing there. His eyes were glowing bright red and casting an eerie red glow in the room. I wasn't sure

Bill:
Weeks had passed. My unborn child was making itself known. Seren was always at my side. Schatzi was back to her normal mischievous self. I was happy, except when Tom entered the room. There was just the air of pain that followed him everywhere. I understood exactly what it was from, but I just didn't know what to do.
It was while I was out sparing with Schatzi that Rune ran out of the house with Tom right behind. Tom was laughing at the boy as he pretended that he couldn't catch the toddler. Rune w

Serenity:
It was still hard for me to believe that I was back with my Bill. I had been dead for seventeen years and I was finally back to live out eternity with the love of my life. We were even expecting another little one and neither of us could be happier. Schatzi was even excited about having a little sibling. I just couldn't believe it!
I was sitting on the couch one night as I looked over a few web pages. I had to keep up on current events and know what was happening. Bill tried to keep me

Derik:
Schatzi was finally mine. After seven long years of pining over her and, at first, thinking that I would never get her, she was finally mine! I couldn't believe what had happened. I had always known that I was important to Schatzi and I should have known after she didn't push me away, but I was still too frightened. Even when it came down to it, in the end she was the one that made the first move.
I couldn't take my eyes off my angel as she sat there talking to Tom. I knew what they were s
Kyler glanced at the cuffs around his wrist. Things had turned out to be completely different than he had expected. The creature had faded into the background, staying in his own little dimension for the most part. It was almost as if the creature was waiting for something. Saving his strength, but Kyler didn’t know what it was.
The only real difference in Kyler’s life was the cuffs that meant he belonged to the creature. Whenever the creature called, Kyler had to respond. He had been enslaved by the creature, but he wasn’t made to do anything. Nothing made sense to the human. Nothing…
~Mirabella looked dow
The locker room was empty, but Briar could still feel eyes on her. The woman hated it when she got such feelings, but she learned a long time ago to trust such feelings. Each and every time they had been right. There was a peeping tom and Briar really hated people to see her. It was why she always waited until the locker room would be empty, but there was someone there. Though, she couldn’t see anyone. It just didn’t make sense!
“Where are you hiding?” the woman started to step around the small space in search of any place that someone might hide, but there wasn’t a space large enough for anyone. She,
Mirabella’s eyes grew wide as the small sprite tapped on the window. She didn’t understand why the creature was there. The sprite was not known to Mirabella and that worried her. And judging by the look on her tiny face whatever she wanted was urgent.
The tapping came again and Mirabella felt that she needed to open the window. As soon as the window was open, the sprite flew in and grew to her human size. A human that was smaller than Mirabella with long silver-blue hair and wide black eyes, “Who are you?”
“Mirabella,” the smaller sprite shook her head as she looked over her shoulder and nod

Tom:
Two weeks had passed. I had spent every spare moment I had learning any country song I could find. Half of them I had to learn by ear, but that didn't seem to matter to Ava. If the song wasn't quite right she still sung along as she went about whatever she needed to do. The girl did have a beautiful voice and I was sure I was only days away from getting her confidence up high enough to go somewhere public. I just wondered how long it would take before her confidence was up enough to do something serious about it.

Magics and Restraints -Ch. 4-
Mirabella sat on Bill's shoulder as she played with his dreads. Bill didn't seem to mind. He was off in his own little world as he tried to think through everything that had happened to him in the past few days. The little sprite didn't even register.
Kyler sighed as he finally turned away from Bill so he could talk to Tom, "How is it that you failed?"
Tom's eyes started to burn as his entire form tensed, "I did everything everything I could to save my brother. I made sure to go through every single accessory he wore and add charms to keep magic from affecting him! So, don't try to put this on me!"
Kyler rolled his eyes. He believed Tom, b
